Common mistake when downloading an HTC ROM

A really common reason for people contacting Htc support or indeed just not downloading a ROM update from the Htc website is that they cannot get past the htc phone identification form at the bottom of the ROM update download page.

HTC Orange Owners

Unfortunately, people who have Orange branded HTC phones may have a further complication. Even if you have entered the serial number correctly you may be told your phone is not compatible. If this is the case then you will need to contact Orange and hope they have provided their own custom ROM update. There have been mutterings at Htc about putting 3rd party Roms on their site, but it seems this is some way off.
